Valyusha is a 6 yr old Yorkie that was a puppy mill dog for the first 3 years of her life. She only has 3 legs due to an accident.  The story her foster mom was told was that she broke it falling out of a stacked crate and the leg had to be amuptated.

She is the sweetest dog and she loves to lick!! (EVERYTHING)Her tongue is a little oversized and sticks out so she will use it to give lots of kisses! She will play softly sometimes with your hands. but if you get too rough with her she will run away.  She likes to sleep with her foster mom and snuggle whenever she can.  She can also be very independent.  She will try to run away at times if the door is left open and there is loud noise.  She is very sensitive to sound at all times.  She likes to stay in her crate and in her own bed when she is not with her human. 

If she is in a room with the door closed she will use a puppy pad (most times).  She is small so using the restroom tends to happen every 2-3 hours. 

Valyusha responds to her name very well; even her nicknames (Lou, Loui, Lou-lou, Lyusha).  She doesn't not mind other dogs; she will sniff them at first meet but then has no interest in them.  Puppies and hyper active dogs would not be good for her, nor small children.  We think she would be best suited for an older couple, older single or an adult or couple that have time for her. 

She will walk on a leash, but doesn't like to go far with only 3 legs. She can climb up and down stairs but only short cases.  More than 5 stairs and she will not attempt.  Sometimes she does stumble because her missing leg is on the front right side.

Valyusha does not bark but if she wants your attention she will 'cough' at you.  It is just darling!  She loves treats and fresh veggies and will stay by your side if you are in the kitchen.  She will also come running at the sound of a bag crinkle!

She is in a very loving home now, but her foster mom wants her to live out her life in a perfect home.  If you want to meet her please fill out an application.
