This handsome boy is Sonic is a 2 year old Basset/Sheltie mix.  He weighs around 35 pounds, making him a perfect size family dog. 

Unfortunately, Sonic's prior family had to give him up.  He was brought to a vet's office when they were closed and left with a note.  The note said "Please take care of our dog, we are homeless and cannot care for him anymore."

Sonic is great with kids and loves all people.  He does well with smaller dogs, but likes to bark at larger dogs.  He would need a little more time getting to know a larger dog.
