Laurel is a sweet as pie little girl who appears to have been abandoned. She was found running around a neighborhood seeking food, water, and love. She was covered in fleas, ticks, and matted fur.
Laurel has tested positive for Lyme disease, transmitted by ticks. It can be easily treated with medication, and she shouldn't have any long term affects from it. She will begin treatment immediately and should be cleared in a few weeks.
Laurel is scared and unsure of things at this time, but is gaining trust day by day. She seems to do well with other dogs and is friendly with people. She is around 1 year old and weighs about 42 pounds at this time. We will be learning more about her in the weeks to come.
