12/11/11 Update: Goliath (aka Baxter) continues to thrive! He is completely healthy and has the softest fur. He loves all people (once he gets to know them), other dogs, and cats. He is not food aggressive. He is now house broken, crate trained, and leash trained! Goliath even behaves well when taking a bath! He can be playful and curious, as well as relaxed and cuddly. He loves long walks, to play fetch, and to snuggle on the couch to watch a movie.
11/6/11 Update: Goliath (aka Baxter) is now in a foster home and is doing great! He remains a little scared and timid, but is getting braver day by day. He is doing great with his other Chihuahua foster siblings. He is getting used to his crate and is a curious little guy that loves to follow you about the house. He is getting along well with the cat in his foster home. And the best news? He is a complete snuggle bug!
Goliath....a big name for a little guy! Goliath was found as a stray. He was underweight and covered in fleas! We are getting his fleas taken care of and with time, he will gain his weight back. Currently he weighs about 8 pounds, but should weigh around 10 pounds. He is 1 1/2 - 2 years old. Goliath is very scared right now and what he needs most is a calm environment so he can feel safe and secure again. We aren't sure how he does with kids, other dogs, or cats since he is new to the program.
If you would like to give Goliath a new home and give him the love and comfort he needs, fill out an adoption application from our website.
