Max is a tough guy, he is 2 years old and weighs about 70 pounds.  He was found wandering around as a stray.  Lost and hungry with nowhere to call home, Max fended for himself until he was finally found and taken to safety. 

Max tested both Heartworm positive and Lyme Disease positive!  Poor guy...he must have felt horrible, but you would never know it by his attitude.  He is friendly and loves people!! 

Max started antibiotics for his Lyme Disease and has now gone into remission.  It is possible that the Lyme Disease could come back, but it is easily treated with a round of antibiotics and if treated promptly, will not cause any permanent damage to his body.  It is also possible that he may never have to be treated for Lyme Disease ever again!  

Max has been treated for his heartworms and is now medically clear to find his new permanent home.  He is a wonderful dog who has survived many setbacks in his young life.
