Anna is 3 years old-- and a little over weight--not much. We were told that she is a shih tzu (full-blooded) according to the breeder. She is microchipped and is up to date on everything. Her teeth are good and she is in great health.
Anna has been with her current owner for about 2 1/2 years. Prior to that she lived in a home with little attention. The family was carelessly breeding dogs and selling them at a flea market. Anna didn't get taken by the time she was 7 months, so the owner asked his neighbor if she would take her. Anna is a wonderful dog, with 2 issues--neither one horrible! She is food aggressive only with treats. She lives with 2 other dogs and she lets them eat out of their bowls without bothering them, but if you give each a treat or chew stick, she will take them all and be protective over them. The other issue is that she chases cats and other small animals. She is leash trained and likes to go for walks. Anna is a more of an alpha dog so she would do better in a household without another alpha dog or as an only dog. She would also do better in a home with adults rather than young children.
