Charlotte is a 2 year old purebred Poodle, she currently weighs 49 pounds.  

Unfortunately she is all hair and is very skinny underneath.  Charlotte was found under a barn with her 3 puppies. We don't know how long she was there but her fur and skin is a mess.  Charlotte was very scared of our volunteers when they went to get her.  She did try to protect her puppies but gave in when they gave her food.  She was starving and was so appreciative to have something to eat.  

Charlotte started a grooming appointment but she decided she was done and sneaked out the door.  It took us a few hours to catch her but she is safe now.  She will be spayed once her milk dries up. We just separated her from the puppies so they are all trying to get used to their new environment.  

Charlotte will need a home that is experienced with the Poodle breed.  She seems to be ok with other dogs, we just haven't tried to feed her around one yet. 

We did notice that it was love at first sight for Charlotte and our male vet tech.  It could be that her previous owner was a man?  She didn't mind the women but she kept following him around and even jumped up to give him a kiss.

Charlotte requires a fenced yard for her protection, she will need work with walking on a harness and leash.  So far she is pretty calm and she is excited that all of her puppies got wonderful homes.
