Sherman Tyson is a 1 1/2 year old cattle dog mix, he currently weighs 58 pounds.
This poor boy was wandering around one of our volunteers neighborhood for about 3 weeks. He was scared and wouldn't come to anyone. She called us and said he was on her deck and could we help. Sherman was injured with a bad cut under his eye, we think he was done being homeless and was ready to find someone to take care of him.
He is a super sweet boy after he realizes that you aren't trying to hurt him. He was taken directly to our vets office to have medical attention. He had hooks and whipworms and was infested with fleas and ticks. Luckily he was heart worm negative and he is being treated for everything else. They checked his eye really well and saw that here wasn't any damage to his eyeball. He is on antibiotics and pain medication for the injury.
Sherman would love to have a foster home so he can learn what it is like to be a dog that is cared for. He loves other dogs and we will try him with a cat to see how he reacts. He will definitely need to be an indoor dog with a fenced yard for potty and playtime.
