Earl is a 15 year old poodle who was found wandering a neighborhood. He was malnourished and needed an immediate dental. Earl had a huge wad of hair stuck in his teeth that made it impossible for him to eat. Most of his teeth were extracted during his dental because his teeth were rotting. He has skin allergies and is on medication. In the past few weeks, his skin has improved dramatically. Earl also has a heart murmur which made it very dangerous to put him under for his dental. We didn't have a choice and luckily he is a strong and determined boy. Lastly Earl has arthritis and is on medication for that too.
Earl is living in a foster home with several other small to medium sized dogs, and gets along very well with them. He is housebroken and has very nice house manners. His whole goal in life is to be with his person. He has not been kid nor cat tested, but his temperament indicates he would be okay. Given his size and conditions, we recommend he not live with very small children.
Despite his lack of teeth, he can eat kibble and regular doggie biscuits. He's not much for running, but he does ramble around the yard with the other dogs and pays attention to what they are doing.
If you want a constant companion, Earl is the guy! We would like to see him with someone who is home most of the time or will take him along.
