Liam is a gorgeous 2 year old Maine Coon mix. He was found as a stray with a leg injury.
Liam is a brave boy because his injury was extremely gory and extensive. When we got him to the vets office he had a temperature of 105. The vet's were afraid that infection was setting in and had to remove his leg as soon as they could get him stable enough.
Liam was a trooper and did well with the surgery. A couple days later his temperature spiked up to 104 and they had to treat him for an upper respiratory illness. It took a while, but every day he got a little better.
Liam is the most interesting cat we have ever seen. Now that he is feeling better he has such an awesome personality. He actually acts like a dog more than a cat.
He does a high five with his good leg for treats. He runs up and down the hallway at the vet's office and tries to play with the elderly vet cat there.
He is great with dogs, cats, and kids. He has loved every dog he's seen, and likes to rub up against them. He's not shy about anything!! :-)
Liam shows his 11.8 lb scarred body with pride!!! He gained 1.6 pounds in the time we have had him. He thinks he has to eat all the time.
He has been neutered, is felv/fiv negative, was dewormed, and vaccinated with rabies, upper respiratory, and leukemia.
