Mercedes is a 2 year old Lab mix.  She weighs about 25 pounds and she won't get much bigger.

This dog is very precious to us.  We got an email that there was a dog running loose on the golf course and looking at all the cars like she was dumped off.  We went to see if we could catch her and what a challenge it was!!!

Twice our director got close enough to her, but Mercedes was too smart and too fast to be caught.  This went on for 2 days so we put out a dog house full of blankets and food for her.  The next day she was no where to be found and we were so worried about her safety.

Saturday morning on our way to the Pet fair she is found again off a busy road.  We had 6 people trying to catch her and a bunch of men in a garage helping out too.  She once again is too smart and too fast.  

Finally we get her trapped inside a car lot, the fence is closed and there is no way for her to get out.  We chased her for another hour, in the snow, trying our best to coax her to safety.  

Mercedes got tired and went in a place that was small enough for us to eventually get her.  She was not happy to be caught but it didn't take long for her to realize that she was safe now.

Five days later at our vet's office Mercedes gave birth to two adorable female puppies!!!!  We welcomed Mustang Sally (tan) and Porsche (black) into the world on March 5, 2015.  Mommy and babies are doing great and we are so thankful that we got her when we did.

Mercedes is a wonderful mommy and takes such good care of her babies.

We are looking for a foster home preferably with out any other animals.  Of course Mercedes is being protective over her girls, but she is letting the vet techs handle them.
