Annie is a 9-10 year old Shih Tzu. She was found as a stray covered and we mean COVERED in fleas!!! It took 3 days and 2 different types of flea treatment to get rid of them. Because of the fleas she has red patches on her skin of dermatitis.
Annie just went for her checkup and is feeling better. She is very sweet and she let her foster mom cut her hair. She didn't like having her face cut, but not many dogs do. Annie just had a dental and did great with the procedure. She didn't need any teeth removed.
This sweet girl only weighed 10 pounds when we got her. Her foster mom has been feeding her regularly to try and get some protein in her and weight on her, she is up to 12 pounds now. She is not house trained yet but they are working on it.
She was checked by a Orthopedic Vet and he feels she had a back injury at one time. She does stumble a little when she walks and this could be the cause. Other than that, she does get around well.
Her eyesight and hearing aren't perfect, but she will let you know when it is feeding time. She throws her little head up in the air and barks like a seal. It is the cutest thing!!!!
