Licorice is a beautiful Black Lab mix, she is about 22 months old.  Her current weight is around 45 pounds.  Licorice had a rough puppyhood, she was released by her owner to us.  Her owner was unable to take care of her and she was living in filth with her puppy brother.

Licorice has been adopted out twice in her first 8 months she had been with us.  She was adopted with her brother the first time and since she was so timid as a puppy she didn't do well with small children.  Her brother is still in that home and is doing great.  The second time she was adopted she lived with a very nice man but he would bring her to work to play with everyone else's dogs.  She got very overwhelmed with all the people and dogs would act out poorly.

Right now Licorice is in a wonderful foster home. She needs to be placed in a quiet home with maybe one other dog.  She is more outgoing now but will still act timid if she is in around a lot of people or many dogs.  She gets uncomfortable at pet fairs and we are trying to work with her on this.

A fenced in yard is preferred for potty and playtime, but she does walk well on a leash and harness.
