Einstein has had a rough life so far. He has been in and out of shelters, never having a true family. He was hit by a car and brought to a vet's office by a good samaritan. He had obviously been on his own for quite some time and was about 10-15 pounds underweight! Fortunately, he did not have any life threatening injuries from his accident. He had several abrasions and bruises all over his body and his back left leg is very sore causing him to limp, but he is going to be just fine with some TLC!
**Einstein's injuries have healed well. He is still growing some hair back from some of his scrapes. Because of his size and injuries, he will need to take joint supplements for the rest of his life to make sure that his joints stay healthy and well lubricated. Einstein is doing great on the supplements and is active and happy now!
Einstein loves people! He likes taking that big head and rubbing it on you for attention. He gives kisses and will crawl in your lap when you sit down! He seems very mild natured, calm, and loving, yet he still likes to romp and play. He is 2 years old and weighs about 60 pounds (but will be about 70 pounds when at his ideal weight).
Einstein is learning how to properly interact with other dogs. He does love to play with other dogs, but he does not seem to like extremely active dogs that bounce around alot and jump on him. He currently stays at a doggie day care and is getting exposure to all sorts of dogs to help him learn socialization skills.
Einstein is a true love bug and deserves a family to love him back!
