Tinker is a 7-8 mo old female Catahoula mix, she weighs around 50 pounds.
She was abandoned at a local motel in VA. She was picked up by animal control and they noticed she was emaciated and very sick. They brought her to the vet and she was diagnosed with Parvovirus. The doctors really didn't think she was going to make it and were very worried about her. Tinker is a fighter though and within 3 weeks she completely recovered.
The rescue in VA reached out to us for help because she couldn't stay at the vets anymore and she couldn't go back to the shelter. The only other option was to find a rescue to take her or have to euthanize her. We took her in and found her the greatest foster home where she is thriving.
Tinker loves walks and when it's cool enough she joins her foster mom on her morning runs. She enjoys to lounge around chewing on a bone and snuggling.
She is a little shy when meeting new people so a family with older kids may be better for her. Loud noises scare her but she is getting better with time. Tinker loves other dogs so a home with one would make her very happy.
