He was rescued by a Good Samaritan that found him on the side of the road. He had been there for over 5 hours, and was in pretty bad shape. He was scraped up, dehydrated, and his face was swollen around the eyes and right side of his head due to trauma on the side of his face. The vet thinks he was hit with something like a bat. In addition he was anemic and had hookworms. He is currently unaltered and the vet is waiting for his health to improve before we get him neutered.  He is healing remarkably well, and he isn't letting this experience phase him. 

 

He can see well enough to get around without bumping into everything, and can successfully navigate stairs, but that's about it. He will need a solid fence and someone that can help keep him out of trouble. He is an unintentional escape artist and that he just keeps moving forward and doesn't know where to stop, just like Mr. Magoo!  Since he's also deaf he can't hear you when you instruct him to go inside or outside, but his power of smell is very strong and he can follow you around based on your scent, and also allows you to carry him around as well.

 

He gets along well with other dogs and wags his tail when they come near and he smells them, but he doesn't really play. He sleeps well in his crate, but becomes very vocal when he's tired of being in there.
