Allow me to introduce you to your next cuddle bug, Henry! He is about 9 years old, 29 pounds, and just wants to be with his people. He was surrendered to our rescue because his parents were no longer able to take care of him, and he's enjoyed exploring his new yard with his foster dog siblings. He was fairly matted when he arrived at the rescue, so he has been recently groomed very short.
He is dog friendly, cat curious, kid friendly, and potty trained. He is likely getting arthritis in his back hips, but he has no problems with mobility and easily jumps on and off the couch. He does not see very well, so he will need to be monitoring in any new home while he learns the lay of the land. He's friendly and energetic, and loves to explore. He is very food motivated, and loves treats and snuggling.
Even though Henry is doing well for his age, he has ailments typical of pure bred American Cocker Spaniels, including an ear infection that he's currently being treated for. In addition, he has Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), also known as dry eyes. He receives Optimmune for his eyes twice a day, and will need to for the rest of his life. He has also been diagnosed with a heart murmur and will need an ultrasound to know more. His foster family is monitoring him closely, but none of these conditions seem to be slowing him down.
Currently being fostered in Charlotte, NC.
