6/26/09 HEALTH UPDATE: Sweetie's bloodwork came back good and she had 4 bad teeth removed. Doctor says that she is healthy and ready to be adopted. Sweetie is a 7 year old purebred Pomeranian who was owner released to our rescue. She is a very shy but sweet (hence the name) little girl. Sweetie has some health issues that are currently being addressed by the vet. She is hesitant to let people pick her up or pet her a great deal and we believe that this is due to her health issues. She does like to have her back end scratched and once she has spent some time with you she will happily stick it up in the air for you to scratch. Sweetie will make someone a good companion but will require a patient person who is willing to let her form the relationship at her own pace. She is currently living with another senior foster dog and they get along well. We believe that she would do best with other senior dogs or very low energy dogs in her new forever home. We will not place her in a home with children for her own safety. Sweetie is pee pad trained at this time and will need more work to become housetrained. The adoption fee for sweetie is $225.
