Mini Ausie

Ruger is a 16 month old Miniature Australian Shepherd, he only weighs 13 pounds right now.

Ruger is a people-friendly little guy.  He is full grown, so he will remain around 13-15 pounds.  He is house-broken and crate trained and will sleep quietly in his crate all night.  If he does make noise in the crate at night, that means he must go out.  That only happened once in the month he's been at his foster's house.

He wants to be next to his person, either in your lap or lying at your feet.  We do not know how he feels about children, since we haven't seen him with them.  He enjoys chewing his bones and likes to play with various toys.  He loves to chase a ball, but isn't too good at returning it.  He will, however, bring a toy to be thrown.  He is very bright and learns quickly.

We would never recommend any dog to be off-leash in an unfenced yard, especially Ruger.  Ruger does not get along with other dogs and should not be allowed to encounter one.  He walks very nicely on-leash.

If you have no other dogs, and are interested in meeting Ruger, please complete an application.

We require that the adopter have a fenced in yard for when he is outdoors.

Please fill out an application if you are interested in adopting him.  Adoption donation is $350.
