Sage is a 5 year old English Bulldog.  She weighs 42.3 pounds of adorable.  Sage is a true love bug and she just wants to give kisses.

Sage is an owner release, thankfully her owner realized that she needed a new home.  She has had 2 litters of puppies, with the more recent litter she had to be taken to the ER vet to have a cesarian.  Unfortunately all of the puppies had already passed in the womb.

Sage developed a hernia and it has become the size of a baseball.  Before we could do surgery to repair it and spay her we had to do bloodwork and a heartworm test.  We then found that Sage is heartworm positive.

We are currently waiting to hear if she will have her surgery now or after her heartworm treatment.

Sage needs a foster or forever home.  The new foster/owner will need to be very careful with only leash walking her while she is going through treatment for the heartworms.  If she gets too excited or runs she can possibly throw a blood clot which can be fatal.
